A teacher in Wisconsin with a life that looked like it was working.

Aria was a school teacher. Her husband, Josh Guzman, worked for the post office. They had a growing family, a life in Wisconsin and a path that looked, from the outside, like it was working.

But Aria was not truly happy in her career. She had found Liana Shanti and HMI Wellness, and the work had already begun changing her health while she was still in the classroom. The more she learned, the clearer it became that there was more to her path than what she was currently living.

Fear tried to come in. Family members tried to pull her off the path. The conventional logic of the teaching salary, the stability and the plan was loud. But Aria had life proof. She had experienced firsthand what this work was capable of. Once she had that, there was no turning back.

The Rican Vegan® surpassed $100,000 in sales in its first year and has continued earning community recognition. Aria and Josh have accepted awards together for the food truck and for its Latin food, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free offerings.

She is no longer in the classroom. She is a Functional Nutrition Therapist, a business owner and a woman who moved her entire family across the country on the strength of what she learned and the life proof she had already accumulated.
